Cared For

Cared For is developed by Brian Storjohann (Porch Light Studio). This Privacy Policy explains how the Cared For app handles your information.

The Short Version

Everything you enter into Cared For stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal information or your loved one's health information. Ever.

Information You Enter

Cared For allows you to store sensitive personal and health information including:

• Care recipient name, date of birth, and medical information
• Medication names, dosages, and schedules
• Doctor and pharmacy contact information
• Insurance and Medicare information
• Appointment history and visit notes
• Documents such as insurance cards and advance directives
• Family member contact information
• Emergency contacts

All of this information is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. It is never transmitted to our servers because we do not have servers. It is never shared with third parties.

Data Storage

All app data — including documents, photos, and profile information — is stored locally on your iPhone using SQLite database storage. This data is included in your device's standard iCloud or iTunes backup if you have backups enabled. We do not have access to your backups or their contents.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Health or medical information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or usage analytics
• Crash reports or diagnostic data beyond what Apple provides to all developers

In-App Purchases

Cared For offers an optional Pro subscription processed through Apple's App Store. All payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment or billing information. Apple's privacy policy governs all purchase transactions.

Third-Party Services

Cared For does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party service used is Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchase processing.

Children's Privacy

Cared For is intended for adult caregivers aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 16.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can delete all app data by deleting the Cared For app from your device. We have no ability to access, modify, or delete your data on your behalf.
