Hearth — Home Maintenance Tracker ("Hearth", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
Hearth is designed with your privacy in mind. All data you enter into Hearth — including home items, service records, contractor information, reminders, documents, and photos — is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on external servers.
All information you enter into Hearth is used solely to provide the app's features to you. Your data never leaves your device and is never shared with third parties, advertisers, or analytics services.
Specifically:
Your data is stored locally on your device and is protected by your device's built-in security features including passcode and Face ID/Touch ID protection. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date to ensure the latest security protections.
Hearth does not currently use iCloud or any cloud backup service. Your data is stored only on the device where the app is installed. If you delete the app, your data will be permanently deleted. We recommend using your device's local backup through iTunes or Finder to preserve your data.
Hearth uses Apple's local notification system to send you maintenance reminders. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve transmitting any data to external servers. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings app.
Hearth may request access to your device's camera and photo library to allow you to attach photos to home items, service records, and documents. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted externally.
Hearth is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
